Kelly Starrett
Coach Kelly Starrett founded San Francisco Cross Fit with his wife and fellow athlete Juliet. Kelly’s focused coaching and warm personality brings his professional training as a coach and a physical therapist graduate student to life for brilliant training in a positive environment. Kelly is an inspiration to nearly everyone he meets, causing superior athletes to re-examine their fitness programs and reach higher levels, and motivating beginners to believe in their natural ability to excel.
After three years of intensive physical therapy training and practice, Kelly will receive his Doctoral degree in physical therapy in spring 2007. Kelly’s background as an athlete and coach includes paddling whitewater slalom canoe on the US Canoe and Kayak Teams, and leading the Men’s Whitewater Rafting Team to two national titles and competition in two World Championships. Kelly also continues to coach world class adventure racing and white water kayaking athletes.
Beyond the gift of powerful training and support that Kelly provides to his clients, he lends inspiration and aid to diverse groups through his volunteer activities. Kelly is the founder and director of Liquid Camp, a weeklong whitewater kayaking camp for teens living with HIV/AIDS. Kelly directs the annual camp on the south fork of the American River and has offered his expertise to similar organizations to launch their own camp programs. Kelly also serves on the board of directors of Healing Waters, an organization dedicated to providing wilderness experiences for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Adrian Bozman
Adrian Bozman joins San Francisco Crossfit with a wealth of coaching experience and an impressive athletic background. Originally from Canada, he moved to San Francisco to study acrobatics at the San Francisco School of Circus Arts. A lifelong love of gymnastics and fascination with the strongmen of yore is what led him to be the multi-faceted coach he is today. Rejecting what has become the North American standard of fitness, health, and conditioning, Adrian began putting together workouts that reflected his own ideals of excellence. His underlying belief is that people can and should cultivate an all encompassing strength that allows for greater mobility, increased capacity in any endeavor, and enjoyment in the face of physical challenge. In turn, this strength and confidence should improve and co-exist with all other facets of one's life. Discovering Crossfit was like being re-united with a sibling.
With over 3 years of coaching experience and a lifetime of sporting experience (including boxing, skiing, gymnastics/acrobatics, rock climbing, soccer and Krav Maga), Adrian has had the opportunity to work with everyone from rugby players, tri-athletes and circus artists, to stay at home moms and executives. He has the unique ability to teach complex skills to people with little or no athletic background. More importantly, however, is his ability to ignite interest and confidence in his clients as their skill set increases. He has turned normal gym-goers and non-adventurous cardio-junkies into multi-functional athletes that can move fast, lift heavy and enjoy learning new things.
Adrian is currently an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Trainer and a Crossfit Certified Trainer. His underlying love of all things physical as well as his hands on experience with tools such as kettlebell conditioning and gymnastics will take your fitness to a new level. Adrian coaches group classes (see schedule for details) and is also available for personalized coaching.
